An SSL certificate is a must
From October 2017, new domains, subdomains or addon domains hosted in cPanel are created with default SSL Certificate.
If you don't have an SSL Certificate already, cPanel will install a self-signed SSL to your domain. There are two issues connected with that:
Self-signed SSLs are not trusted by browsers. A user visiting a website using this SSL type gets a browser warning that there is an issue with the website's security certificate.
If you don't set up a redirect from http:// to https:// you may face a content duplication issue which affects SEO rankings.

To ensure you use a trusted SSL Certificate, Namecheap is offering 1-year free PositiveSSL limited to 1 cPanel primary domain for newly created account, and up to 49 new subdomains or addon domains per account. To install it, please visit the Namecheap SSL plugin.
